How I Spent My Summer Vacation, 2004
August 10, 2004 - One of four species of wild rose that grow in Alberta. This one was a delight to find. It is pale pink with dark pink bars streaking the middle of each petal. Each frond has 11 leaves. This is rosa arkansas. It caught our attention because it was blooming so late in the summer. The common Alberta rose blooms in June.
