August 3, 2004 - The first of the Asiatic lilies to bloom. This lily overwintered in a shallow pot without any extra insulation.

August 3, 2004 - My first attempt at growing Tropicana lilies. These grow from bulbs that send out huge colourful leaves and flowers on the top of 3 and 4 foot stems. They love the sun and will grow in ponds, too.

August 3, 20044 - Portulaca loves the sun. These four pots of portulaca bloom continuously and some of the flowers are almost three inches across.
