March 31, 2004 - Yesterday was warm, around plus 15 degrees.  Medicine Hat was plus 28! Today, it's snowing in Edmonton.

March 31, 2004 - The pond awaits.  The ice has thawed.  I just need to repile the rocks and top up the water.

April 14, 2004 - And then it snowed again!  After the March snow melted,  temperatures at Easter soared to almost plus 20.  Then a cold front swept through, bringing another dump of snow that lasted several days.

April 19, 2004 - The big cleanup!  With just a few traces of snow left, now its time to rake up the leaves, remove the dead  plants and get ready for another season of gardening.

April 19, 2004 - After pumping the snow melt out of the pond, the rocks are ready to be cleaned and restacked.  I'd moved them in the fall trying to find the last of the goldfish to bring in before freeze-up.  The pot of reeds overwintered in the frozen pond and shows some new growth sprouting.
